About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute mortgage marketing and development plans to meet or exceed agreed-upon mortgage production goals
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Mortgage Strategies, Policies and Procedures and secondary-market investor guidelines utilized by Truist
  • Comply with Truist policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws
  • Provide mortgage clients with advice based on their needs and Truist Mortgage products and benefits
  • Introduce mortgage clients to other bank solutions through Truist's referral process
  • Assist Mortgage Loan Fulfillment with client, attorney, or appraiser document follow-up identified through quality control or post-closing review
  • Sell and market Truist Mortgage Loan products within bank policies and procedures
  • Make consistent, effective referrals of mortgage clients for other bank services and insurance products

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ year(s) experience in banking and/or lending environment
  • Basic knowledge of residential property types
  • Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in relevant computer applications
  • Must be SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transfer of registration
  • Applicable NMLS acceptable background check
  • Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed and required by business needs
  • Able to use standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse, copy/fax machines, and printers
  • Able to access and interpret client information from a computer and hear and speak with individuals in person and by phone
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or related studies, or equivalent financial sales experience
  • Preferred: Two or more years of experience in residential mortgage lending
  • Preferred: Solid knowledge of the local market and regulations
  • Preferred: Previous sales awards and leadership positions
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Up to 75% travel
