About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute effective mortgage marketing and development plans to meet or exceed agreed-upon mortgage production goals
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Mortgage Strategies, Policies and Procedures, and secondary market investor guidelines utilized by Truist
  • Comply with Truist policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws
  • Provide mortgage clients with sound mortgage advice based on client needs and Truist Mortgage products and benefits
  • Refer mortgage clients to other bank solutions and insurance products
  • Assist Mortgage Loan Fulfillment with client, attorney, or appraiser document follow-up based on quality control or post-closing review

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ year(s) experience in banking and/or lending environment with basic knowledge of residential property types
  • Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in relevant computer applications
  • Must be SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transfer of registration, and applicable NMLS acceptable background check
  • Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need
  • Up to 75% travel
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or related studies or equivalent financial sales experience
  • Preferred: Two or more years of experience in residential mortgage lending with solid knowledge of the local market and regulations
  • Preferred: Previous sales awards and leadership positions
  • Required English fluency
