About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver accurate, decision-ready data and reporting solutions supporting Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk under Basel III, with a focus on FRTB and SA-CCR
- Partner with business, technology, and operations teams to translate regulatory and analytical requirements into scalable solutions
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy and sign off on results
- Strengthen controls and risk management disciplines
- Resolve technical, operational, risk management, business, and organizational challenges
- Set the team's direction and communicate individual and team priorities
- Manage team deliverables against expected results, focusing on operational and tactical activities
- Lead or provide technical consulting on large or complex projects and initiatives
- Manage teammates, including hiring, disciplinary actions, coaching, termination, and performance reviews
- Directly manage a team of five or more professional teammates, potentially including subordinate managers
- Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and regulatory compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information System and 10+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- In-depth and broad knowledge within Finance and regulatory disciplines
- Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and implement best practices
- Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure
- Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges
- Ability to manage a team, including identifying and recruiting talent, managing performance, and making resource allocation decisions
- Ability to influence others and handle interpersonal issues with tact and diplomacy
- Ability to handle multiple high-profile projects within aggressive timelines and with high quality
- English language fluency required
- Master's degree or MBA preferred
- 10+ years of related experience preferred
- Previous experience in Financial Services or Banking, with direct exposure to Market Risk and/or Counterparty Credit Risk preferred
- Direct experience with Basel III regulatory requirements, including FRTB and SA-CCR preferred
- Experience with data analysis and SQL preferred
- Understanding of Capital Markets and Investment Banking products preferred
- Risk management experience focused on Market Risk and/or Counterparty Credit Risk preferred
- Exposure to data warehousing and enterprise data architecture preferred
- Exposure to data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Palantir, or Snowflake preferred
- Front office trading systems exposure, such as Calypso or WallStreet Systems, preferred
- Experience with regulatory reporting platforms and data governance frameworks preferred
