About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions addressing business and user needs
  • Participate in testing, implementation, maintenance, and escalated support of complex solutions
  • Develop unit tests and support integration and functional testing
  • Develop code according to Product Owner acceptance criteria
  • Perform customized coding, software integration, analysis, solution configuration, and related tool usage
  • Provide warranty support and knowledge transfer to production support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree and six to ten years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience
  • In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices
  • Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
  • Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices
  • Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates
  • Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information
  • Full-stack development skills, such as Java, SQL, REST, XML/XSLT, JSON, REST/SOAP, API management and Spring suite
  • Experience with OpenShift/Docker, containers and configuration management, application servers, and caching technologies
  • Experience with unit testing, test automation, build tools, application monitoring, and CI/CD processes
  • Knowledge of relational database design and development, including SQL, stored procedures, and data modeling, on DB2, MS SQL Server, etc.
  • Experience with MQ, JMS, and Kafka
  • Experience working on Linux, Windows, or AIX; shell/bash scripting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with IBM FTM product suite or payment processing experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Must work onsite Monday-Friday in the Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, or Raleigh, NC office
  • Must be able to work all scheduled hours, including overtime as directed
  • Minimal travel, up to 10%
  • English language fluency required
