About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support end-to-end delivery of moderately complex large projects or programs of projects
  • Perform business analysis, project management, and governance framework alignment
  • Occasionally manage an individual workstream
  • Partner with project teams to address complex issues and drive process improvements
  • Apply innovative thinking and prepare required project artifacts
  • Escalate risks according to established protocols
  • Lead project planning activities, including gathering, analyzing, and presenting data and recommendations
  • Establish project scope, dependencies, risks, timelines, and key obstacles
  • Support changes to project scope or timeline throughout the project lifecycle
  • Structure milestones, align teams, and manage schedules to achieve objectives
  • Manage project and program documentation and execution, including business cases, scope and impact, project plans, schedules, risks, business readiness materials, and post-project follow-up
  • Ensure documentation traceability and track impacts through completion and knowledge delivery
  • Apply Truist change processes and project/program delivery practices while ensuring governance adherence
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Track and report project status, performance indicators, risk indicators, and success factors to leadership and enterprise teams
  • Own intake of new project requests and coordinate projects within workstreams
  • Own a project portfolio as an individual contributor
  • May support junior resources and promote an inclusive, team-oriented culture

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, or equivalent education and related training
  • 5 years of experience in consulting, project management or process improvement related role
  • Advanced understanding of project management/analysis frameworks and ability to implement large scale initiatives
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to facilitate difficult conversations with leadership
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, devise solutions and make decisions under pressure
  • Ability and willingness to learn and adapt as the needs of the job change
  • Proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Knowledge of software development/technology delivery lifecycle in an enterprise environment
  • English language fluency required
  • Must be located in Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, Greensboro, NC, or Raleigh, NC
  • 5 days per week in-office; no remote or telecommute option
  • Preferred: 8 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Preferred: Banking or financial services experience
  • Preferred: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of holistic banking/investment platforms, products, services, operations, finance and systems
  • Preferred: Experience with Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies
