About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create compelling content for client marketing communications and experience channels
  • Nurture and protect the Truist brand voice
  • Collaborate with digital product owners, designers, marketing teammates, lines of business partners, and stakeholders
  • Analyze, plan, develop, and implement content strategy aligned with business goals
  • Conduct user research, content audits, gap analyses, competitive research, and SEO and keyword research
  • Create, write, edit, and deliver data- and research-backed content for websites, applications, emails, videos, whitepapers, social media, ads, brochures, direct mail, and other client communications
  • Apply Truist voice and message principles through written communication, peer review, agency consultation, training, education, and pair writing with subject matter experts
  • Lead content delivery and maintenance, including editorial calendars, style guides, taxonomies, and copy documents
  • Track content usage, trends, and conversion outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, English or related field, or equivalent education and related training
  • Five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • In-depth knowledge of content marketing and Marketing principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies
  • Experience managing or leading projects or project work streams
  • Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and factors differentiating Truist and its competitors
  • Ability to interpret and explain complex information to varied audiences and build stakeholder consensus
  • Ability to provide direction, coaching, and mentoring to experienced teammates
  • Fluency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • English language fluency required
  • Able to work all scheduled hours, including overtime as directed and required by business needs
  • Able to use standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse, copy/fax machines, and printers
  • Preferred: excellent writing and editing skills, including copywriting, copyediting, technical writing, wordsmithing, and voice and tone adaptation
  • Preferred: excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Preferred: five years of digital content experience, including websites, emails, and applications
  • Preferred: technical proficiency with content management systems, Microsoft suite, Adobe creative suite, and HTML
  • Preferred: financial institution experience
