About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary Finance partner to the Chief Risk Officer and Risk Management leadership team
  • Provide strategic advice, financial planning and analysis, performance insights, and decision support
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, investment analysis, expense management, and resource prioritization
  • Translate complex financial and operational information into executive recommendations
  • Support decisions involving strategy, transformation, workforce, technology investments, capacity, and expense efficiency
  • Coordinate across Risk Management and Finance to align plans, forecasts, and management information
  • Collaborate across the Finance division to ensure financial integrity and sound controls and procedures
  • Support reporting and analysis for the Board of Directors, Investor Relations, and regulatory agencies
  • Coordinate financial analysis and reporting workflow within the team
  • Provide leadership, talent development, mentoring, and work review for team members
  • Foster diversity and inclusion across the organization
  • Document and communicate reporting workflow and data-source changes
  • Identify and resolve technical, operational, risk management, business, and organizational challenges
  • Prepare and review materials for senior leadership summarizing issues and solutions
  • Lead assigned lines of business through the annual planning process and develop annual budgets
  • Coordinate between Corporate Financial Planning, Financial Executives, and assigned lines of business
  • Serve as centralized contact for CCAR and stress test data submissions
  • Provide financial support and complete assigned projects with minimal direction
  • Prepare presentations for new business or product initiatives, financial results, budgets, and corporate plans
  • Maintain management reports and support strategic planning processes
  • Coordinate annual IT Strategic Project processes and work with Enterprise Support Services and IT
  • Provide financial analysis and operational support for merger and acquisition opportunities
  • Serve on special line-of-business projects as requested

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education and related training
  • Ten years of relevant accounting or finance experience that includes complex financial analysis
  • Experience and business vision to provide leadership support to the division manager and Executive leadership
  • Comprehensive understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes
  • Ability to build consensus through communication and presentation of factual and relevant information
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Sound and logical decision-making abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work well with others in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
  • Familiarity with GAAP, including GAAP related to supported LOBs
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and other basic software products
  • Financial modeling experience
  • English language fluency required
  • Preferred: supervisory, team leadership, or talent development experience
  • Preferred: CPA, CMA, CFA, or other relevant professional designation
  • Preferred: Master's degree or MBA
  • Preferred: financial services, risk management, or other relevant specialized industry experience
  • Preferred: experience with enterprise planning and performance-management platforms such as Essbase/Hyperion, EPM/BPC, or comparable tools
  • Preferred: experience developing financial models, analytical solutions, dashboards, or executive reporting using data visualization and automation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, HTML, macros/VBA, or comparable technologies
  • Preferred: ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear visual insights and actionable recommendations for senior leadership
