About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct, facilitate, and evaluate comprehensive learning programs, leadership development experiences, and training initiatives
- Serve as lead facilitator for high-impact learning experiences for leaders, executive audiences, and complex client groups
- Create learner-centered environments that foster participation, critical thinking, skill application, and behavior change
- Lead large-scale learning initiatives through instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning solutions
- Adapt content in real time to learner needs and maximize learning effectiveness and business impact
- Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to identify capability gaps and recommend learning solutions
- Integrate leadership development, team effectiveness, coaching, and consulting practices into learner experiences
- Coach and mentor facilitators and drive continuous improvement in learning delivery, engagement, accessibility, and performance outcomes
- Direct and review the design, development, delivery, and improvement of training curricula and leadership development solutions
- Analyze learning and capability needs and develop solutions for skill gaps and organizational challenges
- Manage delivery, implementation, and administration of learning programs, leadership initiatives, coaching engagements, and development activities
- Collaborate with third-party providers, vendors, consultants, and external partners
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on program effectiveness, business impact, and outcomes
- Maintain learning documentation, program records, content, and materials
- Lead or support learning and development projects, including integration of learning technologies and platforms
- Contribute to new learning programs, leadership solutions, coaching offerings, participant materials, facilitator resources, and learning assets
- Mentor, coach, or guide teammates and stakeholders while ensuring policy, confidentiality, and quality compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience
- For teammates assigned to the Truist Leadership Institute, a master’s degree in Psychology, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Leadership Studies, Counseling, a related field, or equivalent education and related experience is required
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in learning and development, leadership development, instructional design, organizational development, consulting, coaching, human resources, education, or related functions
- Advanced knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, training program management, learning delivery, and learning effectiveness practices
- Strong facilitation, interpersonal, presentation, written communication, and stakeholder management skills in in-person, virtual, or blended learning environments
- Ability to manage complex learning initiatives, adapt solutions to business needs, and exercise professional judgment with varied audiences, stakeholders, and confidential information
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- English language fluency required
- Current experience supporting and executing sales leadership and service excellence training programs preferred
- Advanced graduate degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Leadership Studies, Education, or related field preferred
- Experience in the financial services industry preferred
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems such as SuccessFactors preferred
- Experience with eLearning development tools such as Lectora or Captivate preferred
- Professional learning delivery, instructional design, coaching, assessment, team coaching, or leadership development certifications preferred
- International Coaching Federation coaching certification or equivalent executive coaching credential, where applicable, or ability to obtain within an agreed timeframe
- Project management experience or Project Management Professional certification, where applicable
- Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and processes preferred
