About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support development, execution, and ongoing enhancement of the Risk Appetite Framework
- Coordinate Annual Review and change management activities
- Partner with Risk Type Owners and Risk Measurement Program stakeholders to implement program requirements
- Maintain program documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of risk appetite governance processes
- Design, implement, and execute complex recurring or ad hoc reports, analyses, data, system-related, and operational tasks
- Investigate unexplained variations in reports, data, and systems
- Explain report and research results to department management and stakeholders
- Develop and administer controls to ensure departmental process integrity
- Evaluate and recommend departmental process improvements
- Assist with departmental documentation development
- Serve as a consultative resource on risk reporting, data, systems, and related issues
- Engage stakeholders to identify business objectives and scope solution requirements
- Lead small projects and play significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives
- Act as a resource for less-experienced teammates
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with the professional discipline, such as information technology, project management, finance, or risk management
- Understanding of foundational concepts of related professional disciplines
- Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and factors differentiating Truist and its competitors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among stakeholders
- Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges
- Ability to lead small projects
- Preferred: Graduate degree in a related field
- Preferred: 7+ years of related experience
- Preferred: Experience supporting enterprise risk management, risk appetite, risk governance, compliance, audit, or other enterprise-wide governance programs
- Preferred: Experience preparing reports, presentations, analyses, or governance materials for management committees or senior leadership
- Preferred: Ability to evaluate information, identify themes and trends, and develop practical recommendations
- Preferred: Experience coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities
- Preferred: Experience working in a highly regulated environment, preferably within financial services
- English language fluency required
