About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the technical subject-matter expert for the LoanIQ application
- Own design, development, configuration, and support across the LoanIQ platform and integrations
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient solutions for loan syndication, loan sales and trading, agency/servicing, and capital markets workflows
- Translate business requirements from trading desks, syndications, operations, and finance into technical solutions
- Lead analysis and resolution of complex production issues involving trade booking, position keeping, cash flow processing, and settlement breaks
- Develop and maintain integrations with trade capture, settlement, accounting/GL, market data, reporting, and reconciliation platforms
- Drive code quality through design reviews, code reviews, automated testing, SDLC, and change-management controls
- Partner with vendors such as Finastra on platform upgrades, patches, and roadmap alignment
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
- Ensure solutions meet regulatory, audit, security, and data-governance requirements
- Lead complex initiatives and coordinate technical work across teams
- Evaluate emerging technologies, build prototypes, and contribute to long-term technical goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development
- Minimum of 5 years of capital markets experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of trading flows such as loan syndication, loan sales and trading, or similar capital markets products
- Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, software architecture, and design principles
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, deployment, and security practices
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline preferred
- Professional certifications such as Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or equivalent preferred
- Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, microservices, container orchestration, and DevOps preferred
- Strong familiarity with Agile frameworks, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and enterprise innovation management preferred
- English language fluency required
