About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks to ensure regulatory compliance and a strong control environment
  • Implement and continuously improve technology governance frameworks, policies, and procedures
  • Provide timely reporting on technology risk posture and compliance to senior management and regulatory bodies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate governance into technology projects, operations, and governance processes
  • Prepare documentation and respond to inquiries for internal and external reporting
  • Facilitate control testing
  • Monitor emerging technology risks and regulatory changes and recommend proactive governance adjustments
  • Manage large, complex technology governance projects and assignments
  • Provide guidance and coaching to junior professionals and project teams
  • Drive risk awareness and compliance culture through training and communication initiatives
  • Direct technology governance assessments and control testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure effective risk mitigation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in technology governance
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks
  • Experience applying governance assessment methodologies and control frameworks
  • English language fluency required
  • Must be located in or willing to self-relocate to Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA
  • Must be able to satisfy Truist’s in-office requirements
  • Truist will not sponsor work visa status, employment authorization, or immigration-related support
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant technical or business discipline
  • Preferred: Experience in the financial services industry
  • Preferred: Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, networking and cloud certifications
  • Preferred: Knowledge of CTO technology capabilities, SDLC/TDLC, incident and problem management, CI/CD, cloud, networking, storage technologies, and enterprise architecture principles
  • Preferred: Ability to manage complex technology governance projects, programs, and initiatives
