About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver day-to-day operational support for assigned technology platforms, infrastructure, and systems
  • Administer and support hardware, software, databases, and end-user technology
  • Coordinate routine operational activities with other technology teams
  • Monitor system performance, alerts, and queues; resolve issues within scope and escalate complex problems
  • Support installation planning by managing schedules, readiness tasks, dependencies, and deployment issues
  • Follow approved standards, policies, and procedures supporting compliance, security, and risk management
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting using runbooks and documented steps
  • Document requests, workarounds, and resolutions
  • Contribute input on recurring issues and trends to assess operational needs and plan improvements
  • Provide technical assistance and training to lower-level support teammates
  • Highlight issues and trends to senior teammates and support operational continuity

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in technology operations or related technical support roles
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure components including hardware, software, and networks
  • Familiarity with standard operating procedures and compliance requirements in technology environments
  • Preferred: 5+ years navigating in mainframe z/OS environment (TSO, SDFS, JES2, Initiators, etc.)
  • Preferred: 5+ years of hands-on experience as batch analyst or mainframe console operator in large-scale enterprise environments
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience with ESP batch scheduler product
  • Preferred: 5+ years navigating mainframe environment (z/OS, TSO, SDSF, ESP, SYSLOG)
  • Preferred: Understanding of mainframe JCL for job execution and system initiators
  • Preferred: Experience operating within ITIL-based environments and change management processes
  • Preferred: Strong written and verbal English communication skills
