About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently design, develop, test, and maintain complex software components and services addressing business and user requirements
  • Implement advanced features and enhancements using established coding standards, architectural patterns, and development best practices
  • Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to plan and execute technical initiatives and ensure timely delivery
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software defects and production issues using root-cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design discussions, development, testing, deployment, and support
  • Apply secure coding practices, testing strategies, and documentation standards to ensure software quality and compliance
  • Mentor and support junior engineers
  • Utilize and contribute to existing frameworks, tools, and technologies to enhance application development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and training
  • In-depth knowledge of information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices
  • English language fluency required
  • Bachelor’s Degree and six to ten years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience
  • Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
  • Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices
  • Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates
  • Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information
  • Professional experience building high-quality apps or services from the ground up and scaling at an enterprise level
  • Experience with Open Source tools and frameworks
  • Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong understanding of SOA and/or Open API methodologies and service architectures
  • Experience using web servers, application containers, caching technologies
  • Solid knowledge of relational database design and development, including SQL, stored procedures, and data modeling
  • Experience with messaging systems such as KAFKA, MQ, and JMS
  • Experience with build tools such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins
  • Proven ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests
  • Banking or financial services experience
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Master’s degree and ten+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Knowledge of specific applications, technology platforms, programming languages, systems, or business segments
  • Springboot and Java knowledge preferred
