  • Independently design, develop, test and maintain complex software solutions meeting business and user needs
  • Deliver scalable, reliable and high-quality applications using advanced coding, architecture and software lifecycle management practices

  • Deliver highly complex solutions with significant system linkages, dependencies and associated risk
  • Lead and perform analysis, design, coding and testing efforts
  • Oversee and participate in testing, implementation, maintenance and escalated support of Truist’s most complex solutions
  • Perform customized coding, software integration, analysis, solution configuration and use of relevant tools
  • Ensure adherence to company and industry standards and provide technical consultation on challenging or unusual situations
  • Write and run unit tests
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering equipment capacity, limitations, operating time and desired results
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices
  • Use analytical judgment to identify innovative solutions
  • Mentor less experienced teammates
  • Serve as the technical expert on the team without management responsibilities
  • Act as an Agile champion and deliver high-quality working software

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree and four to six years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience
  • In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices
  • Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
  • Ability to design, develop and test complex APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, DataWeave, REST/SOAP API methodology, OAuth/JWT/MTLS authentication, CI/CD (GitLab)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, seek guidance when needed, and communicate technical issues, solutions, and status updates clearly and professionally
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • At least 3 years of implementation experience in Mule ESB over Anypoint Studio and Anypoint Platform
  • Banking or financial services experience
  • Experience in Waterfall and Agile development methodologies
  • Technical experience with Anypoint Platform components including Design Center, Exchange, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Anypoint Visualizer and monitoring
  • Proficiency in MuleSoft Anypoint API platform for designing and implementing SOAP, REST APIs and schedulers
  • Experience building complex Mule Flows, Sub Flows, Scopes, error-handling strategies, DataWeave transformations, validation and flow controls
  • Hands-on experience with Mule connectors including Salesforce, File, HTTP, Webservice Consumer, Database, JMS-ActiveMQ, SMTP, S3, SNS, SQS and other connectors
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, MUnit, EasyMock and Mockito
  • Experience with project build and deployment using GitLab, Apache Ant, Apache Maven, Jenkins and Continuum
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and AWS DynamoDB, and relational databases such as Oracle and DB2
  • Strong understanding of SOA methodologies and service architectures
  • Experience integrating MuleSoft APIs with Generative AI/LLM platforms
  • Understanding of MCP, Agentic AI and AI-driven API consumption patterns
  • English language fluency required
