About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver technically complex solutions
- Perform system integration support for project work
- Consult and partner with business product owners to understand end goals and provide design solutions and recommendations
- Develop customized code and software integrations
- Perform analysis and configure project-specific solutions
- Lead and participate in development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of highly complex solutions
- Conduct robust unit testing and support subsequent release testing
- Build non-functional monitoring capabilities
- Provide escalated production support for highly complex applications

- Lead moderately complex projects and participate in larger, more complex initiatives

Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and training
- In-depth knowledge of information systems
- Ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices
- Banking or financial services experience preferred
- Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Experience building high-quality apps or services from the ground up and scaling at an enterprise level
- Strong understanding of SOA and/or Open API methodologies and service architectures
- Proficiency in Java SE and EE
- Knowledge of API development concepts and abstractions including JSON, XML, OpenAPI, and RESTful interfaces
- Hands-on fluency in Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch
- Experience with messaging technologies or asynchronous communication patterns such as MQ and Kafka
- Experience building cloud-native applications on a cloud platform, preferably AWS
- Understanding of container platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or AWS ECS/EKS
- Knowledge of relational database design and development, SQL, stored procedures, and data modeling
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra
- Experience with Git, Maven, and Jenkins
- Ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests
- English language fluency required
