About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide independent second-line-of-defense technology risk oversight for Truist Technology and related consultation to business units
- Identify, mitigate, monitor and report technology, operational and compliance risks
- Serve as a subject matter expert and steward of the Technology Risk Framework
- Assess technology maturity and the adequacy of technology controls for performance, stability, security and service availability
- Strengthen proactive risk culture through risk-focused management and partnership routines
- Review and challenge first-line-of-defense risk program outcomes
- Monitor legal, regulatory, compliance and audit matters and ensure timely action
- Contribute to complex technology and enterprise-wide projects
- Partner across business, technology and risk functions on program execution, governance, stakeholder engagement and strategic initiatives
- Develop executive reporting and manage regulatory deliverables
- Monitor key milestones and drive continuous process improvement
- Coordinate governance processes and ensure high-quality deliverables and regulatory commitments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of banking, technology, operations or risk management experience
- Strong business acumen, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to establish credibility with all levels of management
- Demonstrated influencing skills
- Consistent execution and delivery of high-quality work products
- Comfort with data and applying analysis to derive value-add insights
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- English language fluency required
- Master's degree in Business Administration or advanced degree in Business Management, Technology or Finance preferred
- Familiarity with risk measurement approaches, including Key Risk Indicators, thresholds, reporting and analytics tools such as Tableau preferred
- Familiarity with enterprise Governance Risk and Compliance platforms such as RSA Archer preferred
- Project Management certification preferred
- Strong data analytical skills preferred
- Must be located in Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, Richmond, VA or Raleigh, NC
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
