About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete client transactions promptly and efficiently while maintaining accurate records and properly handling assigned monies
  • Deliver high-quality service by identifying and understanding clients’ financial needs
  • Conduct complex and standardized transactions while uncovering client needs
  • Educate clients on ATMs, online banking, and mobile banking
  • Support sales through client outreach, outbound calls, checking client offers, and identifying client needs or opportunities
  • Fulfill client needs or refer clients to appropriate branch team members or specialists
  • Support Integrated Relationship Management activities
  • Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines
  • Attend sales, service, and product knowledge meetings and applicable training and web-based learning
  • Follow internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies
  • Serve as secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution
  • Offer applicable products and services to clients and prospects
  • Handle a proportionate workload based on branch demands

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller, cash handling, or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours; occasional travel and overnights may be included
  • English language fluency required
  • Preferred: One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Preferred: Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management, and loss prevention
  • Preferred: Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • Preferred: General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures
