About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide timely and efficient completion of client transactions while maintaining accurate records and proper handling of assigned monies
  • Deliver superior quality service by identifying and understanding clients’ financial needs
  • Support sales and service activities, including outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management activities
  • Engage clients in courteous conversation, conduct complex and standardized transactions, and uncover client needs
  • Educate clients on ATMs, Online Banking, and Mobile Banking
  • Participate in client outreach, check for client offers, identify needs, fulfill needs, or refer clients to appropriate branch team members or specialists
  • Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines
  • Attend sales, service, and product knowledge meetings, training classes, and web-based learning
  • Follow internal controls, operational procedures, risk management policies, and current compliance guidelines
  • Serve as secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution
  • Offer applicable products and services to clients and prospects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller, cash handling, or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to master personal computer keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multitask under time constraints
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours; occasional travel and overnights may be included
  • English language fluency required
  • Preferred: one year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Preferred: knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management, and loss prevention
  • Preferred: experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • Preferred: general understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures
