About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as primary relationship manager for a portfolio of financially complex mass affluent client relationships
  • Establish new managed client portfolios in de novo circumstances
  • Deliver and service banking, mortgage, planning, investment, and insurance solutions
  • Use personal financial planning and advisory concepts to develop and deepen client relationships
  • Leverage the Truist referral network to generate client acquisition
  • Profile and analyze client financial needs and conditions
  • Work with financial advisors on investment accounts and asset allocation objectives
  • Monitor economic, legal, financial planning, investment, market, and business trends
  • Act as a financial planning and advisory resource for clients, attorneys, and CPAs
  • Meet revenue growth, profitability, and retention goals through client development and product marketing
  • Maintain sales activity, pipeline, and related information in the bank's contact management system
  • Collaborate with Truist product and service specialists to provide integrated client service
  • Build relationships with external centers of influence
  • Operate within audit, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
  • Participate in the implementation and development of the Premier Banking program, including processes, products, services, and policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in business, accounting, finance, banking, or equivalent financial services experience and related training
  • Minimum of five years of financial services experience working with clients dealing with banking, investments, and/or retail lending, or one year's experience in a financial client relationship manager role
  • Advanced knowledge of personal financial planning, advisory, insurance, investment management, and asset allocation concepts
  • Understanding of retail credit and traditional retail bank products for the mass affluent market
  • SIE, FINRA Series 7, and Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65 in lieu of Series 66) must be active and maintained or obtained within 100–150 days of job entry
  • Applicable Life, Health, and Variable insurance licenses must be active and maintained or obtained within 100–150 days of job entry
  • Active FINRA licenses must be transferred within 60 days of job entry
  • SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliance within 30 days of employment, including applicable NMLS registration and acceptable background check
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, and relationship management skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office
  • English language fluency required
