About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee 4 to 8 employees depending upon the department
  • Ensure company policies, Uniform and Attendance policies are followed
  • Ensure employees receive proper task training and complete tasks according to SOPs
  • Answer employee questions regarding job functions
  • Conduct daily team meetings to review assignments
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean daily
  • Complete daily Employee Assessment logs and Room Logs in SharePoint
  • Ensure IPM logs, PPM, PH logs, and grow-room calendars are completed daily in the proper format
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated as needed
  • Manage inventory control and ensure weekly order request forms are submitted
  • Report updates, problems, and comments to management regularly
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong understanding of plant nutrients and their deficiencies
  • Experience growing cannabis in different environments with various techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing, and challenging environment
  • Strong understanding of common grow room equipment including electrical systems, lights/light bulbs, timers, irrigation systems, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and plumbing
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
  • Must have valid State Driver’s License or ability to obtain one
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
  • Able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
  • Able to work seated/standing for extended periods and perform climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and frequent/constant hand use
  • Able to handle organic matter daily and wear appropriate PPE in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions
  • Must have visual acuity for reading, computer terminals, and detailed inspections in day and night/dark conditions
  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers and vendors
