About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide manual labor supporting Cultivation department operations while following laws, rules, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
  • Support Clone and fertigation departments with day-to-day plant production and sanitation tasks
  • Provide support in flower, veg, and mom as determined by business needs
  • Perform physical, repetitive agricultural work and follow supervisor instructions
  • Climb ladders and work on elevated platforms
  • Cull plants
  • Cut, stick, and tag clones
  • Provide clone care, irrigation, and dome management
  • Irrigate plants using various methods
  • Identify and dispose of green waste
  • Document testing results through reports and logs
  • Input data into the company database
  • Prune and defoliate plants
  • Use PPE according to company guidelines
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and bag excess plant material to clean grow rooms
  • Clean, sanitize, and store grow-room tools and equipment
  • Assist in training Cultivation Technician I and II team members
  • Perform cross-department manual duties as needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proficiency and achievement of goals in all Cultivation Technician I and II skill assessments
  • Minimum 6 months active in the Cultivation Technician II role to qualify for the Cultivation Technician III role
  • Good discipline and attendance standards
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Punctuality
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum age of 21 (or 18 in CT, PA, and WV)
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background screening
  • Ability to handle organic matter daily and wear PPE as appropriate
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE
  • Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
  • Ability to work seated/standing for extended periods and perform climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, repetitive movement, and reaching
  • Ability to use hands/fingers for frequent or constant holding, grasping, turning, picking, and pinching
  • Ability to stand for an entire shift at times
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, finger, and elbow movement
  • Visual acuity with or without job aids for reading, computer-terminal viewing, and visual inspection
  • Ability to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers and vendors
  • Cultivation experience preferred
