About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide manual labor supporting Cultivation department operations while following laws, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
- Support Clone and fertigation departments with day-to-day plant production and sanitation tasks
- Flex to flower, veg, and mom departments as business needs require
- Perform repetitive agricultural work and follow supervisor instructions
- Cull plants
- Cut, stick, and tag clones
- Provide clone care, irrigation, and dome management
- Irrigate plants using various methods
- Identify and dispose of green waste
- Document testing results through reports and logs
- Input data into the company database
- Prune and defoliate plants
- Use PPE according to company guidelines
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and bag excess plant material to clean grow rooms
- Clean, sanitize, and store grow room tools and equipment
- Assist in training Cultivation Technician I and II team members
- Perform cross-department manual duties and other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be proficient and achieve goals in all Cultivation Technician I and II skill assessments
- Must be active in the Cultivation Technician II role for a minimum of 6 months to qualify for Cultivation Technician III role
- Maintain good discipline and attendance standards
- Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Works well in a team environment
- Attention to detail
- Punctual
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
- Must be able to handle organic matter daily and wear PPE as appropriate
- Must be able to work in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
- Must be able to stand, sit, climb ladders, kneel, crouch, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods
- Requires repetitive hand, wrist, finger, and elbow movement
- Must have visual acuity with/without job aids for reading, computer use, and visual inspection
- Must be able to communicate verbally with co-workers and vendors
