About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with the manager to interview and hire distribution associates
  • Provide feedback and leadership to distribution associates
  • Track distribution associates’ attendance and point system
  • Work with facility leaders to ensure company policies are followed
  • Design and implement processes to improve department efficiency
  • Facilitate and monitor physical and electronic movement of incoming and outgoing items
  • Communicate with inventory, manufacturing, and sales teams regarding customer or product concerns
  • Use MJ Freeway and SAP to create packages and conversions needed for sale
  • Maintain compliance for incoming and outgoing items through MJ Freeway and SAP
  • Create and maintain distribution reporting tools
  • Create manifests for internal transfers and wholesale orders
  • Package orders coordinated by the sales department
  • Complete compliance paperwork, including manifests, invoices, and COAs
  • Send customers manifests and invoices by email
  • Coordinate courier pickup schedules
  • Assist with local inventory management and audit tasks
  • Issue warehouse supplies to departments as needed
  • Manage production mylars, jars, and packaging materials
  • Inform the manager of supply needs
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts of finished and packaged goods
  • Operate a forklift
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent verbal communications and customer service skills
  • Experience with Microsoft suite
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, forklift certification as required by the state, the union, and/or OSHA
  • Willingness to go above and beyond for customers and the team
  • Flexible schedule and ability to adapt on short notice based on customer needs
  • Ability to work long shifts and some weekends as required
  • Ability to successfully handle high stress situations
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment
  • Self-driven with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate through phone and email
  • Reliable transportation
  • Minimum age of 21 (or 18 in CT, PA and WV)
  • Minimum of a High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Must be legally qualified to work in the US
