About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create labels, calculate cannabinoids, and maintain printers and programs
- Review strain names, types, variables, and overall label quality
- Maintain daily inventories of labels created, reprinted, used, wasted, and rejected
- Restock printheads, ink, labels, and other inventory
- Complete daily print jobs promptly while maintaining high label quality
- Document approved labels and complete daily logs summarizing reworks
- Operate printers according to instructions and call for repairs when needed
- Package medical marijuana derivatives accurately and efficiently into appropriate containers
- Label containers appropriately
- Package products in totes for stores
- Inspect products to ensure all labels are present
- Organize finished-goods racks
- Pull orders for the Packaging department
- Move work orders to storage locations
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment according to standards, procedures, and legal regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to work in a production environment and meet production goals
- Ability to focus, stay on task, and continuously demonstrate meticulous attention to detail
- Working knowledge of manufacturing/shipping operations, usually resulting from a minimum of 1–2 years of experience
- Ability to read and understand procedures and follow verbal and written instructions
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating manufacturing-type machinery
- Ability to work in a team environment and strong communication skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum age of 21 (or 18 in CT, PA, and WV)
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background screening
- Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift at least 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry it at least 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
- Ability to work seated/standing at workstations for extended periods and perform climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and frequent/constant hand movements
- Ability to handle organic matter daily and wear appropriate PPE in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions, including temperatures of 95 degrees or greater
- Visual acuity, with or without job aids, for reading, computer viewing, and visual inspection of small details
- Ability to speak and communicate verbally at conversational levels with coworkers and vendors
