About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform IPM scouting and product application tasks in the Cultivation department
  • Inspect all plants and rooms across the assigned facility
  • Complete spray assignments as directed by management
  • Assess plant health, pest issues, and grow-room cleanliness and prepare daily email and SharePoint reports
  • Take plant samples to identify pests and plant-health issues
  • Collaborate with staff and management to identify problems and implement solutions
  • Research pests and plant-health issues and compliant treatment methods
  • Independently inspect all facility rooms before the light cycle switches off
  • Present verbally at weekly management meetings
  • Clean and maintain task-related equipment
  • Support mother and clone production areas
  • Cut, stick, and tag clones; provide clone care, irrigation, and dome management
  • Irrigate plants using various methods
  • Identify and dispose of green waste
  • Document testing results through reports and logs
  • Input data into the company database
  • Prune, defoliate, and cull plants
  • Participate in educational activities to prepare for pesticide licensing
  • Flex across flower, veg, mom, propagation, harvest, and post-harvest areas as business needs require
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be able to pass respirator fit testing
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Punctual
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
  • Must be able to wear IPM PPE including Tyvek Coveralls, FaceShield, Half and/or Full Face Respirators, and Protective Gloves while mixing, loading, and spraying crops
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate for extended periods and perform climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, repetitive movements, and reaching
  • Must have visual acuity for reading, computer-terminal viewing, and visual inspection
  • Must be able to communicate with conversational proficiency with co-workers, vendors, etc.
  • Cultivation experience preferred
