About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Inspect all plants and rooms across the assigned facility
  • Complete spray assignments as assigned by management
  • Assess plant health, pest issues, and grow-room cleanliness and document daily reports by email and SharePoint
  • Take plant samples to identify pests or plant health issues
  • Partner with staff and management to identify problems and develop and implement solutions
  • Research pests and plant health issues and compliant treatment methods
  • Independently inspect all facility rooms before the light cycle switches off
  • Present verbally at weekly management meetings
  • Clean and maintain equipment required for tasks
  • Conduct tasks in mother and clone production areas
  • Cut, stick, and tag clones
  • Provide clone care, irrigation, and dome management
  • Irrigate plants using various methods
  • Identify and dispose of green waste
  • Document testing results through reports and logs
  • Input data into the company database
  • Prune and defoliate plants
  • Cull plants
  • Participate in educational activities to prepare for pesticide licensing
  • Provide support in flower, veg, mother, propagation, harvest, and post-harvest areas as business needs require
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass respirator fit testing
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Punctual
  • Must work in close proximity to cannabis flower and particulates daily
  • Must handle organic matter daily and wear PPE as appropriate
  • Must tolerate hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE, including temperatures of 95 degrees or greater
  • Must wear IPM PPE including Tyvek Coveralls, FaceShield, half and/or full face respirators, and protective gloves while mixing, loading, and spraying crops
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
  • Must work seated/standing for extended periods and perform climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, repetitive movements, and reaching
  • Must be able to stand and walk for an entire shift at times
  • Requires repetitive hand, wrist, finger, and elbow movement
  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids for reading, computer terminal use, and visual inspection
  • Must have clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
  • Must communicate with conversational proficiency with co-workers, vendors, etc.
  • Cultivation experience preferred
