About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Troubleshoot, maintain, and install processing and packaging equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical distribution, HVAC, and lighting systems
- Follow planned maintenance procedures and schedules
- Respond to line calls and maintenance tickets according to priority
- Maintain HVAC, plumbing, lighting, building systems, and structures
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to solve building and production equipment problems
- Assist with inventory of parts and materials
- Document usage of parts and materials
- Document completion of maintenance items according to the Planned Maintenance Procedure
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma with completion of Trade School, Apprenticeship, or relevant Military Experience strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of basic electrical and mechanical theory and troubleshooting
- High level knowledge of electrical circuits and drawings
- Background in troubleshooting of control/low voltage systems
- Proficient in the use of electrical test equipment including multi-meters, amp meters, and meggers
- Skilled in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Well versed in maintenance safety protocols including PPE and LOTO
- Able to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Able to work with prolonged standing, frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and in confined spaces
- Ability to identify unsafe situations and work with onsite team leads to mitigate risks
- Strong verbal, electronic, and written communication skills
- Comfortable with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Minimum 21 years of age, or minimum 18 years of age in CT, PA, and WV
- Must be able to pass comprehensive background screening
- Must be able to meet the specified physical, environmental, visual, and communication requirements
