About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist the Site Manager and Assistant Master Grower with growth operations
Inspect the grow daily and ensure growers follow procedures and specified requirements
Identify plant deficiencies and adjust feed schedules as needed
Ensure the grow is clean and correct existing issues
Assist in maintaining appropriate supply levels
Assist in managing employees
Report findings to the Assistant Master Grower
Suggest ways to improve the health and function of the grow
Carry out orders from the Master Grower and Assistant Master Grower
Scout for and identify pests
Adjust IPM schedules to eliminate pest and disease pressure
Create necessary documents

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong understanding of plant nutrients and their deficiencies
Strong understanding of cannabis pests and diseases
Experience growing cannabis in different environments and with various techniques
Significant experience growing in coco coir
Significant understanding of the cloning process
Understanding of how bio-sprays work and affect pests and plants
Strong written and verbal skills
Strong computer skills
Strong understanding of common grow room equipment including electrical systems, lights and light bulbs, timers, irrigation systems, air conditioners and dehumidifiers, and plumbing
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 21 years of age
Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
Able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry it a minimum distance of 50 feet
Able to work seated/standing for extended periods and perform climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and frequent hand movements
Able to handle organic matter daily and wear PPE in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions
Visual acuity sufficient for reading, computer work, and detailed inspections in day and night/dark conditions
Able to communicate verbally with co-workers and vendors
Available to work 40+ hours weekly, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
