About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in harvesting cannabis material
- Prepare, weigh, and log cannabis material for transportation to dry rooms
- Defoliate plants as needed
- Maintain compliance using a centralized tracking system
- Document testing results through reports and logs
- Input data into the company database
- Perform continual quality control assessment as product moves through the process
- Maintain and operate equipment according to standard operating procedures
- Weigh and dispose of plant waste material
- Process and prepare materials according to SOP and cGMP cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Account for all cannabis material and products according to company policies and procedures
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and bag excess plant material to keep work areas clean
- Clean, sanitize, and store equipment after use
- Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations
- Perform manual cross-department duties as needed
- Maintain a positive, safe, and clean environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge and understanding of cannabis handling, including harvesting, drying, curing, and trimming is a plus, but not required
- Maintain good discipline and attendance standards
- Ability to work hands on with cannabis plant material daily
- Ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the production department as needed/requested by the direct supervisor
- Ability to work as a team unit while completing tasks and creating constructive collaboration with members of other departments
- Create a proactive environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Self-motivated, innovative, and a team player
- Excellent time management skills, driving efficiency and productivity while maintaining high quality finished product
- Remain compliant with all legal and company regulations
- Minimum 21 years of age, or minimum 18 years of age in CT, PA, and WV
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Driver’s License or ability to obtain one
- Must pass a comprehensive background screening
- Able to push, pull, move, and/or lift at least 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry it at least 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
- Able to work seated/standing for extended periods and perform climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and frequent/constant hand and finger movements
- Able to handle organic matter daily and wear required PPE in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions, including temperatures of 95 degrees or greater
- Visual acuity sufficient for reading, computer-terminal viewing, and detailed visual inspection in day and dark conditions
- Able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels in moderate noise
- Available to work 40+ hours weekly, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
