About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Attend to facility sanitation with integrity and attention to detail
  • Apply knowledge of sanitation principles, equipment, and chemicals
  • Use chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures appropriately
  • Follow sanitation plans, procedures, and training under management direction
  • Follow cleaning schedules and maintain supply usage and quantity logs
  • Collaborate with edibles production and quality assurance to complete cleaning tasks adequately and on time
  • Notify superiors of damages and disturbances
  • Adhere to health and safety rules and company practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven sanitation experience in food production/food service environment
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to work efficiently and quickly while maintaining quality
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision and maintain a high level of performance
  • Strong communication skills; customer-oriented and friendly
  • Flexibility when helping other departments
  • ServSafe certificate preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age, or 18 in CT, PA, and WV
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and frequent/constant hand movements
  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily and wear PPE in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions, including temperatures of 95 degrees or greater
  • Must have visual acuity for reading, computer terminals, and detailed visual inspection in day and night/dark conditions
  • Must be able to communicate verbally at conversation levels with coworkers and vendors
