About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee Harvest, Dry Rooms, and Cure Departments and streamline processes
  • Manage all harvest/post-harvest activities through provision of bulk flower and trim for further processing or packaging
  • Maintain a positive work environment through collaboration, team communication, root cause analysis, and transparent decision-making
  • Maintain compliance with work instructions, SOPs, and change requests
  • Draft and update regulatory, training, quality, and compliance procedures
  • Manage safe work conditions and enforce Safety, Health, and Environmental policies
  • Identify and manage cost improvements and lead productivity initiatives and process trials
  • Coordinate scheduling of harvest/post-harvest rooms and optimize asset utilization
  • Establish manpower requirements and lead corrective actions when issues arise
  • Conduct personnel development, performance management, proficiency training, and onboarding
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe post-harvest areas and adjacent facilities
  • Lead 5S initiatives
  • Follow company policies and internal SOPs
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned by Management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within the Cannabis harvest/post-harvest areas
  • Knowledge of the Florida Cannabis regulations
  • Demonstrated managerial experience in a manufacturing/processing environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of base strains Sativa and Indica, and therapeutic effects of strains and types of medicinal administration
  • Demonstrated team leadership and development skills
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to meet production schedules
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced growing work environment
  • Proven continuous improvement mindset through kaizen events or other continuous improvement processes
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 21 years of age, or minimum 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, move, and/or carry at least 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
  • Must be able to work seated/standing for extended periods and perform climbing, stopping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and frequent/constant hand movements
  • Must handle organic matter daily and wear appropriate PPE in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions
  • Must have visual acuity sufficient for reading, computer use, and visual inspection in day and night/dark conditions
  • Must be able to communicate verbally at conversation levels with coworkers and vendors
  • Working knowledge of SAP preferred
