About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally
Protect and verify information about security concerns and incidents
Document calls and security incidents accurately
Manage and verify access requests through web-based systems
Provide access to authorized personnel and terminate access when necessary
Dispatch vendors and service providers for maintenance and security needs
Collaborate with emergency services (WME) during incidents
Maintain clear communication and help coordinate emergency responses
Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to protect company assets
Identify and report suspicious activities or security breaches
Maintain accurate records of activities, incidents, and communications
Prepare reports for management review

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
One or more years of SOC-like work experience
One or more years inside a Security Operations environment
Previous experience in a security operations center, law enforcement, or similar role is highly desirable
Certification in security or emergency response (e.g., CPR, First Aid) is a plus
Familiarity with web-based access control systems, CCTV, and alarm monitoring systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to assess situations quickly and make informed decisions under pressure
Understanding of basic security principles, emergency response procedures, and asset protection strategies
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
Experience in call centers, agile project management, and leadership
Conflict management, people management, reporting, critical thinking, problem-solving, and planning and organization skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and managerial skills
Experience with conflict resolution and de-escalation
Experience with complex problem-solving and being detail-oriented
Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
