About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and coach a team of engineers across iOS, Android, and Web
- Own mobile and web delivery end to end from discovery through release, including planning, sequencing, risk management, and stakeholder alignment
- Set technical direction for mobile and web architecture, integration patterns, and quality standards
- Partner with Product and UX to shape customer-focused mobile and web experiences aligned with Trulioo's product strategy
- Coordinate across backend, platform, identity, data, and go-to-market teams
- Establish and maintain practices for code quality, automated testing, release readiness, observability, accessibility, and performance
- Leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and identify continuous-improvement opportunities
- Introduce and scale a shared AI-assisted workflow for code review, testing, or documentation
- Ensure responsible, secure, and compliant use of AI tools and correct weak AI output before release
- Report to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering
Requirements
What you’ll need- BSc degree in computer science, engineering, or another STEM field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including native mobile, web development, or adjacent product delivery
- 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership, team leadership, or engineering management capacity
- Strong people leadership skills, including coaching engineers, unblocking delivery, and providing clear, actionable feedback
- Strong technical judgment and ability to make architecture and implementation tradeoffs under delivery constraints
- Strong communication skills connecting technical work to customer value and business impact
- Experience with Swift, Kotlin, React, TypeScript, React Native, and Kotlin Multiplatform
- Demonstrated experience introducing or scaling a shared AI-assisted workflow, template, or tool within a team, with a process for catching and correcting weak AI output
- Experience integrating mobile and web apps with identity, verification, fintech, risk, or compliance-oriented platforms
- Experience with App Store / Play Store release processes, feature flags, analytics, crash reporting, and product observability
- Experience with cloud-backed mobile and web applications, microservices, APIs, and secure data handling
