About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research new or revised regulations
  • Implement policies, procedures, processes, and forms supporting business lines
  • Communicate regulatory and process changes
  • Participate in periodic audits and compliance reviews
  • Partner with the team and attend meetings
  • Work on cross-functional teams
  • Review data and communicate solutions to stakeholders, facilitators, and partners
  • Assist with business cases, organizing requirements, translating and simplifying requirements, and requirements analysis
  • Support design or review of test cases, process change requests, and project scope, acceptance, installation, and deployment
  • Participate in preparing regulatory filings and forms
  • Support Compliance team objectives, initiatives, and projects under guidance of senior team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Students pursuing an undergraduate degree with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or later
  • Candidates must not now or in the future require company sponsorship for an immigration-related employment benefit
  • Working towards a relevant degree or equivalent work experience
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Law, Insurance, or a related field; or equivalent trade-off of related professional work experience
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality
  • Highly organized
