About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and propose novel, high-impact AI/ML applications using large-scale EHR data
- Design, develop, and evaluate state-of-the-art models, including foundation models, multimodal learning, causal ML, and generative AI
- Integrate structured and unstructured EHR data with genomics, imaging, and clinical notes
- Collaborate with clinicians, data scientists, product teams, researchers, and engineers
- Translate research ideas into real-world healthcare solutions
- Contribute to top-tier conferences and journals
- Represent Truveta in the research community
- Identify unaddressed problems and define new research directions
- Deliver innovation in trustworthy healthcare
Requirements
What you’ll need- Recent PhD graduate
- Expertise in machine learning and natural language processing
- Ability to design, develop, and refine large language models and generative models
- Ability to implement, train, and fine-tune LLM and GPT-like models on large-scale datasets
- Knowledge of language modeling, generative modeling, and machine learning research advancements
- Physical presence in the United States for the duration of the program
- Preferred: Experience with healthcare data or biomedical data
- Preferred: Familiarity with foundation models/LLMs in healthcare, multimodal learning, causal inference, and representation learning on longitudinal data
- Preferred: Track record of publications in top-tier ML or healthcare venues
- Preferred: Ability to work across disciplines and communicate with technical and clinical stakeholders
