About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and deploy Microsoft Fabric Data Agents for enterprise analytics and AI-driven data experiences
- Prepare and optimize Microsoft Fabric Semantic Models for use as Data Agent data sources
- Configure agent instructions, synonyms, acronyms, business terminology, example queries, and verified responses
- Evaluate and continuously optimize Data Agent performance, accuracy, and completeness
- Test and validate Data Agents against business scenarios and expected outcomes
- Implement governance, metadata, and semantic-layer best practices
- Mentor client teams on Fabric Data Agent architecture, development, optimization, and maintenance
- Provide knowledge transfer, workshops, and hands-on guidance for Microsoft Fabric AI adoption
- Integrate Fabric Data Agents with Azure AI Foundry and AI-powered solutions
- Support AI initiatives leveraging Fabric IQ, ontologies, semantic models, and AI-driven data access
- Collaborate with architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders on scalable AI and analytics solutions
- Develop and maintain Python notebooks for data ingestion, transformation, and validation
- Build and manage Microsoft Fabric Data Factory pipelines and ingestion workflows
- Design and implement Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medallion Architecture solutions
- Create scalable ingestion frameworks supporting OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Semantic Model architectures
- Ensure data quality, consistency, lineage, and governance throughout ingestion
- Collaborate with data engineering teams on enterprise-scale analytics platforms
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft data and analytics platforms
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying Microsoft Fabric Data Agents
- Experience preparing and optimizing Fabric Semantic Models
- Strong experience improving Data Agent response quality, accuracy, and governance
- Experience mentoring users, clients, or technical teams on Microsoft Fabric solutions
- Strong experience with Azure AI Foundry
- Advanced Python development skills, including notebook development for data ingestion and transformation
- Experience building Microsoft Fabric Data Factory pipelines and orchestration solutions
- Deep understanding of Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
- Strong knowledge of OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Semantic Modeling concepts
- Excellent communication and client-facing consulting skills
- Preferred: Experience with Power BI semantic models and enterprise reporting solutions
- Preferred: Experience with Fabric IQ, Ontologies, and AI-powered analytics
- Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, and generative AI solutions
- Preferred: Experience delivering workshops, training sessions, or technical mentoring engagements
- Preferred: Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or Power Platform certifications
