About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage GIS requests for the Atlanta office in partnership with the other Atlanta-based GIS team member, from intake through final delivery
  • Own workload, priorities, and deadlines
  • Consult with brokers to understand each transaction and recommend appropriate mapping or analysis
  • Produce maps, demographic reports, analyses, web-based applications, and related materials
  • Stay current on Georgia retail trends, including retail openings and closures, new-to-market concepts, traffic counts, and future developments
  • Build clean, well-designed maps in ArcGIS Pro using company layout templates, symbology standards, and cartographic best practices
  • Work with spatial data in file and enterprise geodatabases and common formats
  • Run standard geoprocessing and analysis workflows
  • Create and share web maps, Experiences, dashboards, and StoryMaps in ArcGIS Online
  • Build trade areas, drive times, demographic reports, and infographics in ArcGIS Business Analyst
  • Clean and prepare tabular data in Excel for mapping and analysis
  • Use AI tools such as Claude in daily work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in GIS, Geography, Geoinformatics, or a related discipline
  • An Economics or Urban Planning degree with ArcGIS Pro experience is acceptable
  • Beginner-level knowledge of ArcGIS Pro
  • Commercial real estate GIS experience is a plus
  • Experience with AI tools such as Anthropic’s Claude is a plus
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter who finds ways to exceed expectations
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Confident presenting findings and recommendations to coworkers, brokers, and clients, both technical and non-technical
  • Ability to collaborate, teach, and continually learn
  • Passion for visual storytelling using a variety of tools
  • Experience with spatial data in file and enterprise geodatabases and common formats
  • Experience running standard geoprocessing and analysis workflows
  • Experience with ArcGIS Network Analyst and Spatial Analyst is a plus
  • Ability to create and share web maps, Experiences, dashboards, and StoryMaps in ArcGIS Online
  • Ability to build trade areas, drive times, and demographic reports and infographics in ArcGIS Business Analyst
  • Ability to understand demographic and market data measures and present them to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to clean and prepare tabular data in Excel for mapping and analysis
  • Ability to use AI tools such as Claude in daily work
  • Comfortable in Microsoft 365
