About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the operating rhythm of the Communications + Publicity organization
- Create visibility across priorities, announcements, campaigns, launches, events, and external moments
- Partner with the VP, Communications and functional leads on strategic planning and prioritization
- Translate business priorities into communications priorities and align resources
- Own the integrated communications calendar and forward-looking planning
- Identify conflicts, dependencies, gaps, and opportunities across workstreams
- Drive project management for major cross-functional communications initiatives
- Establish owners, timelines, dependencies, and decision points
- Build and manage systems providing visibility into priorities, workload, deadlines, and results
- Establish and manage team operating rhythms, planning sessions, leadership updates, and coordination
- Manage communications agency and vendor operations, including scopes, budgets, contracts, deliverables, and performance
- Track departmental budgets and plan resources with Communications leadership and Finance
- Strengthen measurement and reporting connecting communications outcomes to narrative, reputation, and business objectives
- Develop concise leadership updates and materials
- Coordinate across Marketing, Content, Product, Ad Sales, International, and corporate communications teams
- Identify friction points and information gaps and develop solutions
- Document institutional knowledge, decisions, processes, and relationships
- Support agency, vendor, and team onboarding and transitions
- Serve as a trusted operating partner to the VP, Communications
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of experience in communications, marketing, business operations, project/program management, or a related field
- Experience within or alongside a Communications or Marketing organization strongly preferred
- Exceptional organizational and project-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong business judgment
- Experience building processes, systems, or operating rhythms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to synthesize complex information clearly and concisely for senior leaders
- Experience with budgets, agencies, vendors, contracts, and/or resource planning
- Strong cross-functional instincts and ability to manage up, push for decisions, and hold stakeholders accountable
- High attention to detail and ability to see the larger organizational picture
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Collaborative, low-ego approach
- Entertainment, media, technology, or consumer-brand experience is a plus
