About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead TUMI's global visual merchandising vision and standards across retail and wholesale environments
  • Develop global standards for windows, interiors, fixtures, product displays, signage, props, and customer-facing merchandising moments
  • Translate seasonal brand stories, product launches, marketing campaigns, and commercial priorities into executable visual concepts
  • Own global window strategy, planning calendars, creative development, production processes, and execution standards
  • Develop monthly and seasonal window concepts with cross-functional and regional partners
  • Oversee window concepts, renderings, specifications, production timelines, installation guidance, and communication tools
  • Manage vendors and production partners for sourcing, assembly, shipping, and implementation of window elements
  • Lead monthly and seasonal interior merchandising directives for product launches, assortments, promotions, and business needs
  • Create guidelines for product placement, fixtures, tables, wall bays, signage, props, and storytelling zones
  • Manage directive processes including sample coordination, photography, layouts, image editing or rendering, feedback, publishing, and global communication
  • Partner with Store Design on layouts, fixtures, lighting, visual features, props, and merchandising tools
  • Provide visual merchandising input for store openings, relocations, renovations, showroom updates, and retail activations
  • Manage production and execution of windows, props, visual tools, signage, graphics, fixture enhancements, and related materials
  • Lead vendor relationships, sourcing, estimating, sampling, production tracking, quality review, shipping, and installation support
  • Develop and monitor department budgets and track timelines, approvals, and deliverables
  • Lead and develop a North America-based Visual Merchandising team
  • Guide regional and global stakeholders through standards, seasonal direction, execution guidance, and communication
  • Present concepts, strategies, and execution plans to leadership and cross-functional partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Visual Merchandising, Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive visual merchandising experience within a corporate retail environment
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience overseeing visual merchandising strategy, windows, interiors, directives, production, and store-level execution across multiple markets and retail formats
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools
  • Comfortable adopting new digital and AI-enabled tools
  • Knowledge of product placement, fixture development, and visual display
  • Ability to translate brand, product, and marketing strategies into commercially relevant visual storytelling
  • Strong attention to detail, design aesthetic, and organizational skills
  • Experience developing visual merchandising programs for multiple store formats
  • Ability to lead a team, influence cross-functional partners, and guide regional or global stakeholders
  • Experience managing vendors, production timelines, shipping, installations, and budgets
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills across internal and external partners
  • Ability to take initiative, ownership, and accountability
