About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead pre-construction activities for data centre development projects from initiation to construction start
- Coordinate consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders on planning and design development
- Review architectural, civil, structural, and MEP designs for compliance with standards and requirements
- Support budgeting, cost estimation, value engineering, and procurement planning
- Drive tendering, vendor evaluations, and contract award recommendations
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans
- Track project schedules, milestones, and key deliverables
- Ensure regulatory, safety, and quality compliance
- Facilitate design reviews and maintain stakeholder communication
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
- Assistant Manager: 5–8 years of project, engineering, construction, or infrastructure experience
- Manager: 8–12+ years of relevant experience, including 3–5 years in data centre or mission-critical projects
- Experience with data centre, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale building projects preferred
- Knowledge of data centre infrastructure and MEP systems
- Understanding of Uptime Institute Tier standards and mission-critical environments
- Experience with cost management, procurement, and contract administration
- PMP, PRINCE2, CDCP, CDCS, or similar certifications advantageous
