About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain general and sub-ledger entries and flag accounting questions for review
Process incoming and outgoing invoices (AP/AR)
Carry out bank and vendor reconciliations
Support monthly, quarterly and annual closings under guidance in line with applicable GAAP
Help prepare individual financial statements and supporting schedules for group reporting
Keep data entry clean and processes consistent across finance systems
Support the Accounting Lead in working with external tax advisors and auditors
Help prepare documentation for annual audits and statutory tax filings, including VAT, corporate tax and trade tax
Help shape accounting processes as the company grows

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed an apprenticeship (e.g. Steuerfachangestellte/r, Bilanzbuchhalter/in) or hold a degree in Accounting, Finance or Taxation
Solid knowledge of preparing financial statements under HGB
Hands-on experience with AP/AR processing and bank and vendor reconciliations
Experience supporting monthly, quarterly and annual closings
Detail-oriented and reliable, and comfortable working independently with guidance
Eager to learn and enjoy a fast-paced environment
German at native level (C2)
English at B2 level or higher
Exposure to IFRS is a nice-to-have
First experience with consolidation is a nice-to-have
Interest in optimizing processes is a nice-to-have
