About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver approved BGAS training courses to candidates in the UK and internationally
- Combine technical expertise and practical pipeline inspection experience to explain complex information clearly
- Develop training and examination materials
- Invigilate and mark examinations
- Support audits and quality activities
- Provide technical guidance to colleagues, candidates and programme managers
- Provide technical support across the UK and internationally
- Work closely with programme managers
- Maintain TWI’s reputation for world-class training and certification
- Travel regularly in the UK and internationally
Requirements
What you’ll need- Practical pipeline inspection experience
- Strong background in welding inspection, non-destructive testing and coatings or paint inspection
- BGAS or CSWIP welding inspection certification
- Two Level 2 NDT qualifications
- Coating or paint inspection qualification
- Strong communication skills
- Experience developing training materials
- Ability to build relationships with clients and candidates
- Previous teaching or training experience beneficial
- Advanced NDT qualifications such as PAUT or ToFD beneficial
- Professional registration such as IEng or CEng beneficial
- Regular travel in the UK and abroad required
- Ability to work 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday
