About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist senior design personnel in developing and completing designs and contract documents for the AZ Drainage Group within the company’s Transportation Practice
  • Assist in the design and plan production of drainage infrastructure for freeway, highway, and municipal roadway projects under the guidance of a senior engineer
  • Prepare and check project plans and digital project deliverables
  • Develop personal knowledge and skills to support the growth and success of the Phoenix office
  • Establish rapport with project team members and promote a positive team environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of civil experience or related field
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Skills in planning and scheduling, organization, problem solving, and decision making
  • Ability to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project
  • Ability to promote a positive team environment
  • Working knowledge of dealing with a diverse population using tact, diplomacy, and respect
  • Experience in Hydrology and Hydraulics is a plus
  • Project Wise experience is a plus
