About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle files and develop case strategy
- Manage discovery and take depositions

- Develop compelling case strategies and drive results
- Independently manage a full caseload from discovery through trial

- Maintain consistent and professional client communication
- Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys
- Work on civil defense matters in state and federal courts across general liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, professional liability, construction defect, product liability, and auto/commercial transportation
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ years of recent insurance defense experience
- Active Pennsylvania Bar license required
- Pennsylvania and New Jersey dual admission strongly preferred
- Prior billing experience
- Ability to independently handle and move files forward
- Strong written, analytical, and communication skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active bar license in the state of Pennsylvania
- 1–8 years of solid litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation
- Ability to independently manage a full caseload from discovery through trial
- Familiarity with litigation timekeeping and billing systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Self-motivation with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Responsiveness, curiosity, and commitment to high-quality work
