About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support deployment, configuration and operation of cloud resources across Azure and AWS
  • Support development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, including Azure DevOps
  • Help automate application and infrastructure deployments
  • Work with Git, source control, branching and release management processes
  • Assist with troubleshooting deployment, environment and cloud infrastructure issues
  • Work alongside experienced Cloud and DevOps Engineers to deliver client solutions
  • Support Infrastructure as Code and automation activities
  • Contribute to cloud monitoring, security and operational improvements
  • Maintain technical documentation and deployment procedures
  • Work within agile delivery teams and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Develop technical capability across Azure, AWS, DevOps, automation and cloud engineering
  • Gain exposure to real-world cloud environments and develop skills across cloud infrastructure, DevOps and automation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Around 6–24 months of experience within Cloud, DevOps, Infrastructure or a similar technical role
  • Practical experience or exposure to Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tooling
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
  • Understanding of Git and source control
  • Good understanding of core cloud and infrastructure concepts
  • Interest in automation and Infrastructure as Code
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work collaboratively within technical and multidisciplinary teams
  • Genuine interest in developing a career across cloud and DevOps engineering
  • Exposure to Azure and/or AWS infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage and identity is beneficial
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation or similar is beneficial
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or other CI/CD tooling is beneficial
  • Exposure to PowerShell, Bash, Python or other scripting languages is beneficial
  • Exposure to Docker or containerisation is beneficial
  • Exposure to cloud monitoring, security and observability tooling is beneficial
  • Azure or AWS certifications are beneficial
  • Experience within Government, Defence or other secure environments is beneficial
  • Must be eligible and willing to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance and maintain the appropriate security clearance throughout employment
