About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to live client design work, including wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
- Support user research and usability testing by preparing sessions, synthesizing findings, and developing data-backed design recommendations
- Partner with engineers to make designs buildable
- Extend and maintain design systems and component libraries
- Present design rationale to project teams and client stakeholders
- Iterate on designs based on feedback
- Research emerging technologies and relevant best practices
- Apply academic knowledge in a professional consulting setting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Graphic or Visual Design, UX Research, Service Design, or a related design field
- Portfolio demonstrating a user-centered design process
- Working knowledge of Figma or a comparable design tool
- Knowledge of information architecture, responsive design, and accessibility
- Passion for technology consulting and a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work full-time for the 8-week summer program (6/7–7/30)
- Ability to work in a hybrid model based in Nashville or Richmond
