About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive mission-critical accounting and finance projects for mid-market to large-size clients
Address complex challenges across diverse industries
Serve as Interim Controller and oversee financial operations
Manage accounting functions, transactions, and month-end closings
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
Implement and monitor internal controls for regulatory compliance
Lead special projects including system transitions, audit preparations, and M&A financial integrations
Potentially supervise employees depending on client needs
Collaborate with client teams
Travel as required by client needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or related fields
Experience working in complex, multi-entity corporations
Exceptional problem-solving skills
Strong self-motivation and initiative in ambiguous situations
Proficiency in accounting applications such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP
Proficiency in data analysis tools
Effective communication skills across all organizational levels
Ability to pass thorough background checks, including criminal, credit, education, certification, and references
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred
CPA or equivalent certification preferred
Ability to travel frequently and unpredictably depending on client needs
Ability to work in a professional office environment
Ability to sit at a desk and work in front of a computer screen for prolonged periods
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
