About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop renewable project design/construction packages for utility-scale systems (50–500MW+)
Create BESS layouts, electrical one-lines, collection systems, collection system studies, and equipment installation details
Interact directly with clients for successful project execution
Design projects with multidisciplinary teams of 2–4 people
Support early-stage projects with conceptual designs and material take-offs
Contribute to internal engineering standards, toolsets, and work processes
Turn conceptual system ideas into optimized EPC designs
Maintain project schedules and achieve target due dates
Enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement using evolving technology and AI tools

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Electrical Engineering required or equivalent required
Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in power systems
Detailed design of Renewable BESS strongly preferred
Experience with CYMCAP preferred
Experience with ETAP and/or EasyPower preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to employees, management, and clients
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience/familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit preferred but not necessary
Self-starter willing to identify and implement improvements
Ability to devise new approaches to problems
Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
Knowledge of BESS and/or wind systems, NEC requirements, and construction practices strongly preferred
Ability to multitask and manage numerous projects/tasks simultaneously
Ability to maintain project schedules and achieve target due dates
Excellent presentation and verbal/written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain effective working relationships
If working remotely, reliable high-speed internet capabilities
Up to 15% travel required
Valid driver's license preferred
Openness to innovation and ability to apply evolving technology and AI tools
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
