About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the Ulteig Power business unit and associated P&L
  • Set strategic direction, sales and growth plans, delivery objectives, profitability targets, and overall business performance
  • Lead the Power leadership team in setting annual budgets and business targets
  • Develop the 3–5 year Power Market Strategy to expand and diversify the client base
  • Provide oversight to operating departments and market teams, holding them accountable for results, quality, and delivery
  • Ensure technical services and delivery teams are appropriately resourced for service quality and operational excellence
  • Engage with clients, the external Power Lifeline Sector market, and served communities
  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key clients
  • Collaborate with CXO and Ulteig Leadership Team members
  • Use market and industry data to drive business evolution, innovation, and improvement
  • Partner with shared services leaders to align strategies and actions with the Power business unit
  • Support merger and acquisition and strategic partnership activities as needed
  • Establish organizational structures and ensure leaders are in place for commercial and delivery excellence
  • Provide leadership support, development investments, coaching, and succession planning for direct reports
  • Communicate key messages and leadership communications to Power business unit staff
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, growth-oriented, and engaged work culture
  • Establish guiding principles and high-level policies
  • Implement effective risk management and change management activities
  • Lead Power business unit staff consisting of Directors of operating and market departments
  • Manage strategic leadership, coordination, administrative oversight, and operating budget responsibility
  • Report to the Chief Operating Officer
  • Collaborate on execution of company short- and long-term strategies, business plans, and strategic initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred
  • 12 years of experience required; 15+ years preferred in engineering consulting, critical infrastructure, technical services, or similar work
  • At least five years leading a functional group, market, or multiple teams
  • Demonstrated success in employee development, succession management, coaching, hiring, and performance management
  • Strong business planning, management, and organizational experience
  • Demonstrated record of setting challenging goals and maintaining organizational accountability to achieve results
  • Significant experience and knowledge in the Power Lifeline Sector preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
  • Ability to create vision, convert strategy into action-oriented goals, and lead collaboratively
  • Strategic, objective, and analytical thinking
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and make fact- and data-based decisions
