About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support an assigned group of engineers and technicians by providing technical drafting and design support for infrastructure-related designs with limited supervision
- Design and develop plans for infrastructure projects
- Draw accurate 3D models on a given software platform
- Utilize knowledge of design and 3D modeling to provide technical guidance to other technicians
Requirements
What you’ll need- Two year technical degree in Technical Drafting or equivalent
- 7 or more years of infrastructure related experience required
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with 3D software programs such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Bentley, Solidworks, Revit, and Sketch up
- Experience with graphic design programs such as Adobe Photoshop
- Ability to learn and successfully apply company, client and projects standards and procedures
- Ability to successfully collaborate and communicate with individuals in a team environment
- Detailed drafting experience with substation electrical equipment layout, conduit design, grounding design, lighting design, lightning protection design, protection one-line diagrams, schematics and interconnection wiring diagrams using AutoCAD
- Thorough understanding of site layout logistics as it can relate to substation equipment layout for efficient drafting and ease of construction
- Knowledge of MicroStation is a plus
- Proven experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
- Good organization and communication skills to assure projects are completed on schedule
- Must be able to work independently
- Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement
- Must have permanent authorization to work in the US
